While working in the California's educational system, it was noted that a great deal of adaptive and mobility equipment, for various reasons, gets deemed obsolete. It is typically stored and then typically discarded. 

 

At the same time there are children in Costa Rica that continue to go without the equipment they desperately need so they can fully participate at school, at home, and within their community.

So, the idea was born...take the surplus of unused equipment and repurpose it for a child in need.
